Residents and businesses will be connecting with high speed suppliers when Stratford-on-Avon District Council's wireless broadband open day takes place on Thursday 20 September.
Running from 11am to 3pm at the District Council offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, the event will have a marketplace format, with everyone welcome to drop in and discuss their individual needs.
Cllr Tony Jefferson, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, says: "We are inviting all residents and businesses from around the district to come along and find out which service offers the best solutions for them. A broad selection of suppliers will be on hand, focused on helping people benefit from the Government's Gigabit Voucher Connection Scheme, which offers financial support towards Fibre to the Premises solutions at speeds up to 1 Gbps (i.e. 1,000 Mbps).
"One of the District Council's priorities is assisting in the provision of improved fast broadband connectivity for local communities and businesses. We recognise that the rural nature of the district makes this a challenge, but we hope this open day will encourage those still experiencing slower speeds to come along and explore their options."

As well as being open to the public, all Parish Councils and stakeholders have been invited to the event in a letter sent by Cllr Tony Jefferson in July.
