Stratford-on-Avon District Council has introduced a new overnight parking permit for residents in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The new overnight parking permit has been designed following feedback in the recent car park user survey to give residents more choice where to park their vehicles.

Some residents in the town have limited space near their property and would benefit from having additional parking capacity for a second car and these new permits allow residents to park their vehicles in District Council owned car parks during off-peak times.

Holders of the new permit are able to park their vehicle in District Council owned car parks, allowing overnight parking from 5pm to 9am during weekdays (Monday to Friday).

The permit, which is designed to help residents who experience parking problems outside work hours, is valid in the following car parks: Arden Street, Church Street, Recreation Ground, Leisure Centre, Swans Nest Lane, Bridgeway and Windsor Street.

The permit costs £100 for a year or £30 for 3 months.

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio says: “We've listened to the users of the service and residents following the recent survey results, and have introduced this new evening parking permit in response to this.  Residents living in Stratford town often have problems parking a second vehicle outside their property so this additional permit is an affordable alternative.  A £100 permit works out at less than 40p each evening for a maximum 16-hour stay."

To apply for a new overnight parking permit please contact Parking Services at the District Council on 01789 260691 or email parking@stratford-dc.gov.uk

Windscreen permits will be issued and will only apply for one vehicle.
