Two candidates contested the seat at the Shipston-on-Stour Town Council by-election on Thursday 3 April.

The result is:

Gwen Kiely - 395 votes

Dan Scobie - 478 votes - elected

The electorate for the Shipston Town Council is 4144.

Turnout for this election was 21.1%. 

Turnout for the last contested Town Council election at Shipston on 4 May 2000 was 42.98% and the by-election in December 2013 was 19.9%.
