A public inquiry starts next week on Tuesday 8 April 2014, following an appeal by Persimmon Homes Limited and Mixed Farms Limited against the development of land at the rear of 42 Avon Crescent and Banbury, Stratford-upon-Avon

The appeal relates to a planning application for the proposed demolition of the garage at No.42 Avon Crescent and the erection of 85 homes and associated works refused by the District Council under planning application 13/01342/FUL.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council seeks to defend the appeal on the following grounds:

  1. Aviation Safety


The inquiry, expected to last for 4 days, will be held at the Council Offices, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon starting at 10am.  A Government Planning Inspector will preside over the inquiry.

Members of the public may attend the inquiry and express their view – at the discretion of the inspector.
