Stratford's recently-introduced parking scheme is under the spotlight at a council meeting next week, and the public are being urged to attend. Stratford-on-Avon District Council will be discussing parking at the operational services overview and scrutiny committee on Wednesday 16 March, at 2.15pm.

The committee will be provided with an update on the new parking regulations that were introduced in October 2004 regarding on street parking. The update will highlight progress of the scheme so far and feedback from public and businesses, as well as future arrangements.

Anyone who has a view on the new parking scheme is invited to attend the meeting next week. The meeting takes place in the council chamber at Elizabeth House.

All council committees are held in open and also have a facility to allow the public to speak at the beginning. The purpose of scrutiny committees is to examine how council services are being delivered.

Anyone who would like to address the committee on Wednesday should contact Lucy Parker on 01789 260228.
