Have you confirmed your electoral roll details with Stratford-on-Avon District Council yet?  If not, it's never been easier if your details remain the same.  This year the District Council has provided you with three different options; returning the canvass form, dialling a freephone number or using the Internet.

The two new options of using a freephone number or the Internet is proving a very popular choice.  Already approximately 20% of those returned have re-registered their unchanged details using these methods.

"We all know when the canvass letter drops through the letterbox, we put it to one side thinking we must look at that and send it back.  But with modern and hectic lifestyles it's just another thing to put on the to-do-list.  But if your details haven't changed re-registering couldn't be easier," says Councillor Philip Seccombe, Performance & Change Management Portfolio Holder.

"Using the freephone number or Internet to re-register your details is a straightforward alternative and many of our residents have found the process very popular and easy to use.  We have had many positive and complementary comments about the new options available.  Which is all very encouraging as we try to get more people involved in the democratic process."

There is still time to re-register your details and reminders are being sent out from the District Council now.
