Householders in the Alcester and Stour areas will shortly be receiving the spring edition of Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Review newsletter.  Inside, residents will find a questionnaire about the Alcester and Stour Visions.

The Visions propose a series of priorities that will allow the Alcester and Stour areas to develop into economically strong and environmentally friendly communities.

Each of the District Council's Area Committees has been working on the creation of a Vision for the future to the year 2020 that will act as a guidance document for organisations that work in the community to focus on.

The District Council is producing a series of Vision strategies across the District to help implement the Community Plan.  They are intended to provide coherent strategies for each of the main market town areas in the District, recognising the different strengths and desires of the various communities.

Residents are being urged to complete and return their questionnaires to the District Council by Tuesday 18 April to ensure the 'Visions' fully reflect the views of the residents who will benefit from this strategy.

Following the consultation a guiding strategy for Alcester's and Stour's developments respectively will be produced, which will then be presented to the District Council's Executive Committee in October. An action plan for each will then be drawn up to start implementing projects that will complement the Vision strategy and start developing Alcester's and the Stour's future.

For further information or copies of the Vision documents and the residents survey in a printable format, please refer to our website, from Wednesday 5th April, at www.stratford.gov.uk.
