Stratford-on-Avon District Council staff will be ditching their brogues and forgetting their kitten heels and paying £1 to wear their wellies to work on Wednesday 5 April in aid of Welly Week.

Welly Week is a national campaign that is organised by Garden Organic to raise funds for their education, research and international work to help educate and inspire people about organic gardening, farming and food for a sustainable future.

During Welly Week everyone is encouraged to celebrate all that's good about organics!  For further information visit www.wellyweek.org.uk

The District Council staff regularly hold fundraising events with a dress down day on the first Friday of each month.  Staff pay £1 and wear their casual clothes to work with a nominated charity benefiting.  So far this year staff have raised nearly £600 for Epilepsy, Haven Breast Cancer and Acorns Children's Hospice.
