Ignoring planning laws in south Warwickshire could land offenders in court is the message from Stratford-on-Avon District Council after a successful prosecution case.

On 3 May Stratford-upon-Avon Magistrates court fined Mr Anthony Clifford Robbins, a local business man, £1,000 and awarded Council costs of £850 when he pleaded guilty to the non-compliance of a planning enforcement notice that required the dismantling of an unauthorised building in Wootton Wawen, Warwickshire.

Non-compliance with an enforcement notice is an offence, which because of its seriousness is punishable by a fine of up to £20,000.

The building, located on land adjacent to The Latch, Alcester Road, Wootton Wawen has now been dismantled.
