Stratford-on-Avon District Council (SDC) has been allocated £200,000 by the Big Lottery Fund (BLF) to spend on improving the quality and quantity of play opportunities for children and young people in South Warwickshire.

To secure the funding, a Play Strategy will be developed and approved for funding by the BLF in consultation with local children and young people.  To find out more about how these groups would like to spend their free time, a number of local events have been organised to take place over the next couple of weeks.

Young people are invited to attend their local event to meet those who will be working on the project and complete a questionnaire. Lots of fun activities will also be on offer including giant Connect 4, face painting, badge and jewellery making.  Those unable to attend, but would like to have their say, are invited to contact Community Leadership Manager, Chris Wood on 01789 260640.
