Are you a budding tree enthusiast?

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is re-launching its "Tree Warden Scheme". The scheme, made up from local volunteers who take an active part in any tree related matters in the area they represent, is run by the Tree Council at a national level and co-ordinated locally by Stratford-on-Avon District Council and is looking for greater support from the community.

Wardens need not be a Parish/Town Council member, just enthusiastic about trees and able to report back to the community on any arising matters and act as a first point of contact and a friendly face on the ground for anyone with a tree enquiry. They may also initiate practical improvements such as parish tree planting or caring for young trees.

The first talk on the scheme is to be held on 24 April, 7.30pm at Stratford-on-Avon District Council offices, Elizabeth House and will be hosted by Jon Stokes, the founder of the Tree Warden Scheme.
