Sad news as District Councillor dies

Stratford-on-Avon District Councillor Anita Macaulay died suddenly on 11 May, at the Walsgrave Hospital after a short illness.  

Cllr Macaulay was a well-respected member of the District Council and was the Conservative member for Wellesbourne since 2004.  

"The District Council is greatly saddened by the news of Anita Macaulay's tragic death," says Cllr Les Topham Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council.  

"Anita was a very active and well-respected member of the District Council who will be greatly missed.  Her bright and bubbly personality together with her drive to get things done was a distinguishing quality she possessed.  

"Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time and we send our condolences and best wishes to them."
