Council Service Information During the Winter Period

Snowflake

This page gives information to our residents during the winter and when the area is experiencing severe weather conditions. The short address for this page is www.stratford.gov.uk/winter. This will be updated frequently during periods of bad weather.

Waste collection

Bins that have been missed due to the weather will be collected on your next scheduled collection, however, you will be able to put out up to three sacks of general refuse placed next to your grey wheeled bin, or additional recycling placed next to your blue-lidded bin in a cardboard box or plastic container.

We apologise for any disruption to the service during adverse weather conditions and hope that you can bear with us. We would like to give assurance that the District Council and our contractor Biffa will endeavour to maintain waste collection services whenever possible, in line with our adverse weather arrangements and duty of care.

You can use our online collection calendar to find out what day your bin will be collected.
