Putting bins out for collection
Please place wheeled bins (or equivalent receptacles) at your property boundary with their lids down, clearly visible to the collection crews, by 6.00am on your collection day.
If you have additional recycling, you can place in it a box or rigid container next to your blue-lidded wheeled bin for collection.
Any Unwanted Small Electrical Equipment, Textiles or Household batteries can be left ontop of your closed blue or grey wheeled bin on your normal collection day. Please put each material in separate bags (e.g. one bag for batteries, one for electrical and one bag for textiles) Our collection vehicles are fitted with small compartments at the rear of the vehicle so that materials can be stored separatley, they will not be put in the back of the vehicle - To ensure they can be collected, all items must be small enough to each fit into separate standard-sized shopping carrier bags.
If you only have one green / green-lidded wheeled bin, you can place up to 3 green sacks of additional garden waste next to your green / green-lidded wheeled bin for collection.
Please note: No additional general waste (refuse) placed by or on your grey refuse bin will be collected.
