Warwickshire County Council, as highway authority, is responsible for grass verge cutting and, as such, funds three cuts a year as a safety measure. Stratford-on-Avon District Council has no statutory duty to add to this but has volunteered for a number of years to fund extra cuts. Currently, the total number of cuts is nine.
