Misuse of Disabled Badges
Section 94 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 gives authorised officers powers to inspect Blue Disabled Badges. Authorised officers can be police officers or a civil enforcement officer.
Misuse of a Blue Badge is a serious offence. The only time that someone else may use the badge, without the holder being in the vehicle, is if they are dropping off or picking up the badge holder.
