Disabled Parking in Stratford

For Blue Badge Holders (and holders of any other official disabled parking permits) parking is free in all District Council car parks. Designated easy access parking bays are available in each car park, but if they are full then you may park in any other car parking bay. Bridgefoot Multi Storey and Unicorn Meadow car parks are operated by a barrier system. To enable the Disabled Blue badge holder to utilise the free parking in these car parks, the badge holder will need to apply for a passcard to operate the barriers.

Blue badges must be clearly displayed with the wheelchair symbol showing upwards. Please refer to your Department of Transport Blue Badge Scheme booklet for information on your rights and responsibilities.

Parking On Street with a Blue Disabled Badge:

In a parking bay, Badge Holders may park for free and for as long as they need to unless there is a traffic sign specifying a time limit for disabled badge holders or the traffic sign states that the bay is for a specific use only, for example taxi rank, residents parking.

In a disabled bay you must ensure that you read the road signage to ensure that you do not overstay the maxmimum time permitted. The following areas have designated disabled bays:

To apply for a Blue Badge, or an updated Blue Badge Scheme Booklet, please contact Wawickshire County Council on 01926 410410 or by visiting www.warwickshire.gov.uk
