Altering property name (Naming/Renaming Properties)

Altering the name of a property or giving a property a name is the prerogative of the property owner or occupier.  If you have not registered this as the correct official address for your property however, it is likely to cause confusion for the Royal Mail, delivery services, utility companies and emergency services. You may also find you cannot insure your house contents without a correct postcode.

Stratford District Council offers a free service to advise on and implement your request.
