The District Council is required to produce an Annual Monitoring Report. This assesses progress on the various planning documents that the Council intends to prepare, as set out in the Local Development Scheme, and how policies are being implemented.
One of the key aspects of the new planning system is that a comprehensive monitoring report should be prepared and submitted to the Secretary of State by the end of December each year. The 2007 Annual Monitoring Report is now available.
The report includes an assessment of progress on the various documents listed in the Local Development Scheme, performance against a range of national, regional and local indicators, and whether policies in the District Local Plan Review are having the expected or desired effects.
This document is the third AMR produced by the Council. The previous Annual Monitoring Reports are included for reference.
