Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)

The District Council publishes an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR). This assesses progress on the various planning documents that the Council intends to prepare, as set out in the Local Development Scheme (LDS), and how policies are being implemented.

Annual Monitoring Report 2010

One of the key aspects of the planning system is that a comprehensive monitoring report should be prepared and made publically available by the end of December each year. The 2010 Annual Monitoring Report is now available.

The report includes an assessment of progress on the various documents listed in the Local Development Scheme, performance against a range of national, regional and local indicators, and whether saved policies in the District Local Plan Review are having the expected or desired effects.

Since then the Council's Cabinet (23 May 2011) was invited to consider amending the Local Development Scheme in the AMR to cover the adoption of a Gypsy and Traveller Site Allocations SPD and an amendment to the timescale for the District Design Guide SPD.

This document is the sixth AMR produced by the Council. The previous Annual Monitoring Reports are included for reference.
