Supplementary Guidance and Documents

Various issues are dealt with in greater detail through supplementary guidance (SPG). A range of documents deals with the requirements of developers to contribute to the improvement of infrastructure and services. Other guidance covers specific forms of development and the issues that need to be considered.

Under the new planning system introduced in 2004, such guidance is provided in Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD). These form part of the Local Development Framework. The District Council is converting some of its existing guidance into the SPD format.

Information on the various types of supplementary guidance currently adopted by the Council.
|	Adopted Supplementary Planning Documents
Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD's) adopted by the Council. They provide additional guidance to support development plan policy.
|	Draft Supplementary Planning Documents
Draft Supplementary Planning Documents have been subject to a period of public consultation. The consultation responses are being assessed and the documents prepared for adoption by the Council.
|	Long Marston Masterplan
Information about the Masterplan which is being prepared in respect of the Former Engineer Resources Depot at Long Marston.
|	Eco-town Proposal
St Modwen and the Bird Group submitted an expression of interest to the Government for the development of an Eco-town of 6000 dwellings which they are referring to as 'Middle Quinton'. It has been included on a government shortlist of 15 locations which are currently subject to consultation.
