Waterfront

On Monday 10 January 2005 Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council jointly unveiled the Waterfront Masterplan.

The Waterfront Masterplan has been prepared to protect the future of the area beside the River Avon from Seven Meadows Road to the Stratford Leisure Centre and has tried to avoid conflict and safeguard land use in the area.

The Masterplan has been produced with information from the District Council's Local Plan Review and Riverside Environs Survey, the County Council's Local Transport Plan and the Feasibility Study commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company into the redevelopment of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The document has detailed designs that take a strategic overview of the area bringing together the key themes of the various elements in a single document.
