Our online planning applications system is available via the Council's website between 6am and 12 midnight daily. The service continues to be developed, but at the present time no constraint information is available online. Please contact our offices for details of constraints that may apply, such as Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Orders, Listed Buildings etc. Details about previous planning applications are currently provided from 1974 onwards.
The online planning history for any particular site at present is incomplete and should not be relied upon in connection with a property transaction. Anyone wishing to obtain planning information for this purpose are advised to carry out a local land charges search through the Council's Local Land Charges Section or the National Land Information Service (NLIS) using one of the official Licensed Channels. No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from 'e-Planning'. Similarly the information contained within e-Planning does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
Under normal circumstances the new planning application information will be able to be viewed within 5 working days of receipt of the application. If this is not available you may wish to try a few days later, or alternatively you will be able to view the planning application information in addition to the plans and associated documents at either Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, or Alcester and Shipston-on Stour Area Offices, or Warwickshire Direct - Southam one-stop-shop during normal office hours. To find the appropriate location, please click on the link below:
Stratford-on-Avon District Council reserves the right to remove or not display certain planning application information for confidentiality or other reasons. This may include sensitive personal or financial information or documents containing details of protected species. It also includes the telephone number, email address and signatures of applicants. How do I comment on Planning Applications via e-Planning?
Stratford-on-Avon District Council encourages public participation in planning and your views and comments on planning applications are welcomed.
If you or any other person wishes to make representations on an application, either just to comment or in support or objection to an application for planning permission, you can do this via the e-Planning system.
When the planning application details are selected in the e-Planning system a 'Comment' tab appears in the top right corner, click on this and follow the instructions. Please note this only appears for planning applications that are current and fall within the valid publicity period.
Alternatively you can email your comments to planning.applications@stratford-dc.gov.uk or send them in the post, within the three weeks statutory publicity period.
When making representations please only provide information (including personal details and or signatures) which you are happy for other people to view. If you wish to send comments by email you are advised to send your representations as an attachment to prevent your email address being observed by members of the public via the website.
If you do not want your comments to appear on the Council's website, they will be treated as anonymous. All anonymous representations will be disregarded in the determination of a planning application.
What issues can I refer to when making representations on a planning application?
When considering an application, the Council has to balance people's rights to use or develop their property against public interests and concerns.
There are a number of issues that are taken into account, including:
The following are irrelevant in reaching planning decisions and therefore cannot be taken into account:
