What Committees make planning decisions?
The Council has 2 Area Planning Committees, East and West. Both meet on a 3 weekly cycle, with occasional 4 week gaps. The Area Planning Committees operate under the general oversight of the Planning and Regulation Committee, which normally meets every 6 weeks. Planning and Regulation Committee receives monitoring reports on the operation of the Area Planning Committees. It also decides any applications where an Area Planning Committee has resolved to make a decision which would be contrary to the policies of the Council.
