Who is notified about planning applications?

There are different legal requirements for notification of different kinds of applications. The Council's policy on publicity for applications is given in the leaflet Publicity about Planning. Normally, neighbours who live in property adjoining the site will be notified. The Council will also often put up a site notice. Where the law requires, applications will be advertised in the Stratford Herald. In addition to these methods, a list of new applications is published on our web-site and is usually published in the Stratford Herald.
