The policies and proposals of the Stratford on Avon District Local Plan Review (Deposit Draft) set out where substantial new development is proposed to be accommodated and give a general indication on the future location of most larger scale development. The Plan has been through a public inquiry and the Inspector's report issued in May 2005 contains important recommendations, including the allocation of 3 new development sites on the fringes of Stratford upon Avon.
The draft Local Plan and the Inspector's report can be seen on the Local Plans page, at District Council offices and in many libraries. The Development Control section can give advice regarding current and historic planning applications on 01789 260303, although you may wish to deal with such matters in your Local Search in order to get a formal written response.
You may also want to look at the County Council's Minerals and Waste Local Plans.
