Stratford-on-Avon District Council expects all proposals for new works to be of high quality. Designers and applicants are strongly advised to consult the Stratford District Design Guide at the earliest opportunity, as they will be expected to justify their design proposals.

• The Stratford-on-Avon District Design Guide (includes the Countryside Design Summary). Design guidance for all those in the planning process. Printed copy price £18.00.

• The Countryside Design Summary - summary of the character of Stratford-on-Avon District with general design principles an A1 poster format. Price £8.00.
  
  
• The Stratford-on-Avon Character Map - in conjunction with the above summary.

• Village/Town Design Statements - to date, the following 24 community-led design statements have been adopted as supplementary planning guidance. Please note that Parish Plans should also be referred to as they often contain valuable design guidance produced by the local community, sometimes even in the form of a Village Design Statement section within the Plan.
