On 18 September 2000 the District Council adopted, as supplementary planning guidance (SPG), comprehensive design guidance for developers. Its central focus is maintaining the distinctive, local qualities of the District.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council expects all proposals for new works to be of high quality. Designers and applicants are strongly advised to consult the Stratford District Design Guide at the earliest opportunity, as they will be expected to justify their design proposals.
