Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

One of the first documents that the Council has prepared under the new Local Development Framework is the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). The SCI sets out how we will involve the community in the preparation of all its local development documents and also in significant development control decisions. The SCI was adopted by the District Council on 24 April 2006 and the Adoption Statement can be viewed here.

The adopted SCI has been revised in accordance with the recommendations of the Inspector who undertook an independent examination of the SCI. The Inspector's Report is available here.
