The Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014 require local authorities to make public the details of delegated decisions undertaken by officers, including decisions delegated to the Forestry & Landscape Officers, Planning Services, in relation to trees and hedgerows. Details of such decisions can be found below and are updated monthly.
The delegated decisions relate to dead or dangerous trees either located in a conservation area or those subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), where the Local Planning Authority has five working days to assess the details; other items relate to the serving and confirmation of TPOs where no objections have been received. Decisions relating to, for example, Replacement Planting Notices for the replacement of hedgerows or TPO trees are detailed on the Planning Enforcement pages.
Other decisions resulting from the submission of applications and notifications to undertake works to trees in conservation areas, or to those subject to a TPO (files with the suffix TREE or TPO), are available for viewing under our E-Planning pages in the normal way. You can also use E-Planning to view proposals to remove countryside hedgerows under the Hedgerows Regulations 1997 (files with the suffix HRN).
