Released on 21 June 2010

Stratford's next Community Forum meeting is scheduled to take place on Monday 5th July 2010 starting at 5.30pm at Stratford Town Football Club, Knight Lane, Tiddington when the main topic on the agenda will be 'Services Voluntary Groups and Social Services - working for you and with you'

This will take the form of a 'Question and Answer' session where you can put your questions about the Voluntary Sector and Social Services to a panel of experts.

Cllr Clive Thomas, Community Forum Chairman said: "It is very important that members of the public attend both the police forum which starts at 5pm and the main forum at 5.30pm this is the opportunity to have your say and set the main agenda item for the next forum."

There will also be a local surgery and Information Stands from 5.00pm - 5.30pm where you can find out more about the Voluntary Sector, Social Services, Citizens Advice Bureaux and Neighbourhood Watch.  The Police Surgery also gives you the chance to have your say on what should be priority in the town for your local Police Team.

Sergeant Mandy Crust, Team Leader for Stratford Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: "Voluntary groups and social services are integral to the Stratford community. We value your attendance and input at forums as it is important we know the issues concerning the local community in order to deal with them effectively."

Community Forums are an interactive event enabling residents to learn about issues big and small affecting their area, get answers to questions and influence local decision-making. Anyone with a question about a local issue can go along and put it to officers from a range of organisations.

For more information or to book a lift to the Forum please call 01789 260134 or email alisonmainey@warwickshire.gov.uk

If you would like to suggest an issue for a future Community Forum meeting or get involved, please contact the WCC Stratford Area Office on 01789 260133 or email: stratfordoffice@warwickshire.gov.uk

Community Forums are part of a countywide initiative involving Warwickshire County Council, District and Borough Councils, NHS Warwickshire, Warwickshire Police and Warwickshire Together partners.

There are 30 forums across Warwickshire, which bring together elected representatives across all tiers of local government - County, District and Borough and Parish, together with a range of other community representatives.
