The snowfall yesterday, Wednesday 13 January, has caused disruption to the Council's new revised schedule.
The Refuse and Recycling Service arrangements for Friday 15 January are detailed below.
Verdant will be working to complete Thursday 14 January collections of refuse on the revised schedule from the following areas:
They will also be working to complete all of Thursday 14 January collections of green waste and recycling on the revised schedule.
All collections of refuse scheduled for Friday 15 January will be carried out plus Friday 15 January collections of green waste and recycling in the following areas:
The information above is still based on the new and revised schedule, which has replaced the Christmas schedule.
All the above collections are subject to weather conditions and access.
Any areas not covered by this information will be updated further when that information and collection details are available.
Because of the delays the crews will collect up to three additional sacks of waste during this catch up period only. Any additional waste needs to be securely tied in black bags and placed next to the bin.
Extra recycling side waste will also be taken, but this must be in a box or other suitable container not in a black sack.
Again, Stratford District Council would like to apologise for the disruption to the current service and hope that residents bear with us and thank them for their patience during this spell of winter weather and be assured that we are committed to resuming a normal service as soon as possible.

Recycling Revised Schedule was for Tues 12th but due to disruption was put back to Wednesday. Guess what they turned up on Tuesday. Still not a lot of work for them as most bins safely out of sight! Then we are told the collection will be Thursday. So more in hope than expectation both blue and green bins are out. Green collection happened but the bin disappeared into the collection vehicle which then drove off! No recycling collection. The schedule for today Friday has now given up on TIA completely. What a shambles. I hope the Council is getting a hefty rebate from Verdant for this poor service
Weather aside, what a diabolical service council tax payers have had over the last 4 weeks, epsecially over Christmas when my family of four accumulates the most refuse. Thank-goodness we have a vehicle and for the local rubbish tip - we would never have managed otherwise.
