What's On

Sitting on the banks of the beautiful River Avon, Stratford is the home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatres, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust properties and the internationally acclaimed Orchestra of the Swan. Stratfords hosts a fantastic range of events & festivals: from the Shakespeare Birthday celebrations, Stratford Literary Festival and Spring Sounds in April & May, the Stratford Music Festival in October to the Beer Festival in May, the annual Stratford marathon, Regatta...and much more.

If you live in the area or are visiting why not take some time out and explore the historical buildings and architecture in the town, jump on & off one of the tour buses that call in at all the Shakespeare houses in the area, or just walk along the river and relax.

In the evening perhaps book a pre-performance supper and then enjoy a play at the RST, take a candlelit dinner or ghost cruise along the Avon or see a band at one of the town's music venues.

Like to know more?

Call in at the Tourist Information Centre and pick up information on local sights & attractions and also one of the Visitor Guides & historic and riverbank walks leaflets, or visit the websites on the right.
