Sports Development is about taking positive action to provide the opportunity for people of all abilities to participate in physical activity and sport and to pursue their interests and aspirations to their fullest potential. It is about developing working partnerships with individuals and organisations to create strong, sustainable structures, which offer opportunities to enhance the health and quality of life, enjoyed by the whole of the community.
The Sports Development Team aims to offer people both the opportunities to participate in sport and to create the structures to allow them to improve their performance. To achieve our aims we work closely with external agencies, the voluntary and private sector and education.
