This award will be made to a person or persons who have made a significant contribution to the Community through sport in 2011.
This category is open to girls and boys aged 17 and under as at 31st December 2011.
This category is open to individuals 18 years and over as at 31st December 2011.
This category is also open to teams of 2 (i.e. doubles in tennis) and above. A school team can be either primary or secondary.
All team members must be 17 and under as at 31st December 2011. (Exception - School teams may include pupils who turn 18 by August 31st 2012 i.e. 6th form students).
This category is also open to teams of 2 or more people. All team members should be 18 years or over by 31st December 2011. (Exception - Teams of 6 people or more i.e. Basketball, Rugby etc may include no more than two under 18's).
This category is open to teams or individuals who excel at their sport or pastime in 2010. Sports in this category are not supported by Sport England i.e. dance troupes, skipping, skateboarding, rollerblading /wakeboarding etc. .
The coach or P.E. teacher may be a voluntary or paid position but the person must have made a significant contribution to improving the standard of an individual, club or school in any sport within 2011.
This category is open to individuals who have made a large voluntary commitment or contribution to the day to day running and administration of a club throughout 2011 or in the competitive season 2010/2011.
The Service to Sport category is for an individual who has made a notable contribution to sport within the Stratford-on-Avon District over many years with one or more clubs or sports. This is an award to that special someone who has enriched many sports lives along the way.
