Stratford-on-Avon District Council works in partnership with ILEAP, a local charity which was set up to make sure that disabled young people in the district have the same opportunities to access sport and leisure opportunities as their non-disabled peers.
ILEAP provides a person-centred approach so that ILEAP members can receive the one to one assistance from a trained Youth Worker who's role it is to assist the disabled person and support the leisure provider so that they can be included in their delivery.
ILEAP members are 5 - 18 years old and should live in South Warwickshire.
As part of its South Warwickshire Association for Disability Sports (SWADS) programme of activities ILEAP delivers specific group sessions for disabled young people and their non-disabled peers.
For further information please contact the ILEAP Project Manager by telephone on 01455 448465, by email at ileap@stratford-dc.gov.uk or by fax on 01789 260676.
