What is the Active Communities Network?
The Active Communities Network is a group of public, private and voluntary agencies involved with the promotion, co-ordination and delivery of Sport and Active Recreation opportunities across the whole of Stratford District.
What does the Network want to achieve?
- To raise the profile of Sports & Active Recreation to all sections of the community.
- Increase numbers of people taking part in Sport and Active Recreation by 1% year, especially priority groups.
- Extend opportunities for Sport and Active Recreation. (Corporate Objective)
- Align partners' current priorities and targets within one joint action plan for Stratford District.
- Develop a rural transport scheme to increase access to facilities and activities in the district.

- Coventry Solihull & Warwickshire Sports Partnership
- Warwickshire Primary Care Trust (PCT)
- Southern Warwickshire School Sport Partnership
- Sports Leisure Management (SLM) - Leisure Centres
- Warwickshire College
- Stratford Council for Voluntary Services
- Age Concern - Warwickshire
