Local Active Communities Network

What is the Local Active Communities Network?

The Active Communities Network is a group of public, private and voluntary agencies involved with the promotion, co-ordination and delivery of Sport and Active Recreation opportunities across the whole of Stratford District.

What does the Network want to achieve?

• To raise the profile of Sports & Active Recreation to all sections of the community.
• Increase numbers of people taking part in Sport and Active Recreation by 1% year, especially priority groups.
• Extend opportunities for Sport and Active Recreation. (Corporate Objective)
• Align partners' current priorities and targets within one joint action plan for Stratford District.
• Develop a rural transport scheme to increase access to facilities and activities in the district.
