Standards & Ethics

The Council has a Standards and Ethics Committee. Its responsibilities include:
  • The overseeing of Councillor training on The Code of Conduct, Planning and Licensing
  • Overseeing Ombudsman Complaints
  • Monitoring the Whistleblowing Procedure
  • Promotion of Ethical Governance
  • Hearing Freedom of Information Appeals and
  • The assessment and determination of local code of conduct complaints.
