This section includes details of current Elections and results of the recent Elections together with information on registering to vote and the different ways of voting.

Elections results are published after each count, they can be found on our dedicated Election results page.

Wards

The District Council is made up of 31 wards, each having one, two or three councillors, depending on the size. Each new Councillor is elected for a four year period. The table below shows when each ward within the Council will be holding an election:

Standing for Election

If you are thinking of standing for election you may wish to have a look at our booklet a copy of which can be downloaded from this page or telephone 01789 260210 for a copy to be sent to you.

How to vote

Register

You need to be registered to vote for UK elections and referendums. You can do this in two different ways;

1. Download the electoral registration form to complete by hand.

or

2. Use the aboutmyvote website to fill in the form online and print off the completed form.

Vote

If you are already registered to vote for UK elections and referendums you can vote by postal or proxy or visit your local polling station.
