August 2006 Alcester by-election

Following the resignation of Clifford Meade in June 2006, a by-election took place in Alcester for the vacant District Council seat on Thursday 24th August.

The result of the election is:

Susan Elizabeth ADAMS	Conservative	798 votes
Karyl Arlene REES	Liberal Democrat	638 votes
Matthew Squires STEPHENS	Labour	54 votes

Susan Elizabeth Adams is the elected member for the Alcester ward.
The turnout was 31.82%
