In 2004 the Council underwent a Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) by the Audit Commission.
A Council Improvement Plan arose from our first CPA assessment which was updated in 2006 to reflect new priorities.
The Plan sets out the key actions we will take to improve the Council and the way in which we work. It reflects our areas for improvement that have we have identified ourselves or that have been identified through external audits, inspections and other challenges including the Direction of Travel, Use of Resources and CPA assessments.
Our Council Improvement Plan 2006 - 2008 has been replaced with a new plan to reflect our new priorities from April 2008 and will run until 2010.
