Where appropriate, the Council employs new technology as part of its objective to improve the quality, efficiency, and economy of its services. At the same time, it is also required to meet Government targets to provide the electronic delivery of all possible services by 31 December 2005. Those services will be integrated and will be delivered through channels which provide maximum choice to the customer.
The Council's strategy and action plans to achieve its E-Government agenda are included in the E-Government documents contained in the Policies section of this site, to view these click on the link on the right.
These plans include proposals to work in partnership with other organisations where possible. To this end, the Council is an active member of the Warwickshire On-Line Partnership, which involves all the local authorities in Warwickshire, together with the Warwickshire Police.
The E-Government Division provides strategic context and advice in relation to the E-Government agenda, and generally seeks to promote the concept of electronic service delivery. It also provides and maintains the technological infrastructure to achieve those aims. The Division consists of four operational units. The Unit Managers can be contacted as follows:-
