The new performance reports are currently being reproduced for 2008 and will be available shortly.
We collect and report on various Performance Indicators at different levels;
Best Value Performance Indicator's (BVPI's)
- Set by Government
- They are statutory measures, all Councils have a duty to collate and report them;
- They cover most of our service areas;
- Achievement targets are set by Government for some indicators;
- Reported annually through our Corporate Plan and are subject to a Government Audit;
- Government uses the indicators to measure the effectiveness of how its policies are operating and to judge how well councils are improving.
Local Performance Indicators
- These indicators are set locally, i.e. by individual services to reflect local policies and priorities;
- Targets are also set locally;
- Results are monitored and reported departmentally.
For results against all performance indicators and our targets for the next 3 years, please see the Best Value Performance Plan.
