The Stratford District Partnership, the Local Strategic Partnership for Stratford on Avon, is comprised of representatives of local government, the police, health, education bodies, businesses, voluntary and community organisations.
Set up in 2000, the Partnership provides an opportunity for groups and organisations to work together to co-ordinate actions improving the quality of life for everyone. These are set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy - A 2026 Vision for Stratford District.
The Partnership also contributes to the delivery of the Warwickshire Local Area Agreement. It uses that agreement as a framework for agreeing priorities for short-term improvement, setting joint targets and clarifying the responsibilities for delivery.
In 2007 the Partnership undertook a review of the way in which it works. The review was aimed at ensuring that the way in which the Partnership conducts its business is effective and ensures it is able to succeed. The six themes are:
- Climate Change & Environment
- Children & Young People
- Economic Development & Enterprise
- Healthier Communities & Older People
- Safer Communities
- Stronger Communities
All members of the Stratford District Partnership endorse the objectives of the high level strategy and are committed to its successful implementation.
