Financial Services is a support service that provides financial advice to officers and council members to ensure the correct management of the council's finances.
The service is responsible for preparing statutory financial statements; assisting with the financial planning and strategy of the council; preparing, co-ordinating and monitoring capital and revenue budgets; ledger and accounts maintenance; financial systems; treasury management; risk management; e-procurement; and corporate property and asset management.
The Head of Resources is the designated Section 151 Officer and is responsible for the management and smooth running of all financial aspects within the authority.
