Stratford District Council cuts highway verges within town and village boundaries on a programmed cycle 5 times a year across the district to maintain visibility for highway safety.
Due to the nature of this work it is not possible to provide precise dates as to when an area will be cut.
Approximate start dates for each cutting cycle are shown below, but these may be adjusted to reflect the rate of growth throughout the year to best maintain visibility for highway safety. It typically takes between 4 and 5 weeks to complete 1 cutting cycle across the District.
- Cut 1: March
- Cut 2: May
- Cut 3: Mid June
- Cut 4: August
- Cut 5: September/October
To aid in monitoring the grass cutting in your area we are now listing when and where our grass cutters have been so that it is possible to see how close they are to your area. Stratford is not listed here due to the quantity of grass cutting across the town, but is done on the same frequency as the district cutting.
The List below shows our progress and how many cuts each area has received.
