The community facilities report was commissioned by Stratford on Avon District Council (SDC) and the Stour Power Group of Shipston to establish what facilities are available and how these meet the needs of the community.
It recognises that Shipston has a good range of facilities, which are run by committed individuals and groups of people. The report notes the potential strength of these facilities if they work together, thus increasing their potential usage and appeal to the public. There are considerable opportunities here to develop existing and new ideas for leisure facilities in the community in and around Shipston.
That future development in Shipston should take account of the changing characteristics of the town's population both socially and economically.
The consultant's view is that if facilities are to be well used, now and in the future, the activities provided must appeal to a wide number of people. They must also be cost effective in their operation and be capable of offering a wide range of activities and opportunities.
If you wish to comment on the report please download, complete and the return the facilities survey from the link to the email address below, or by printing and returning (no stamp required) to -
