Warwickshire College has five sites, three of which including Moreton Morrell, Henley in Arden and Rugby have achieved the Heartbeat Award. The College embarked on a healthy eating campaign in 2006 and it is the intention to achieve Heartbeat Award status for all sites. Since then, the campaign has gained momentum introducing many new ideas including the "Big Bag" which is a highly popular baguette bar where customers can choose fillings for their baguette.

The secret of success in changing the style of student food has been the variety and choice now available, some of it leaning towards the high street brands familiar to all young people, using healthier options.

To assist students in choosing their food a "Traffic Light" system has been introduced offering the following guidelines:

Green = Healthy option
Amber = OK in moderation
Red = Warns, think twice

Warwickshire College is delighted to have gained the "Heartbeat" award for Moreton Morrell and Henley in Arden campuses. As well as catering for our students, our refectories are open to visitors.
