A pleasant small village with a beautifully situated partly-13th century church which is reached only by public footpath. The Old Rectory was enlarged from a 17th century cottage and there are similarly-dated cottages nearby. Wolverton Court, also partly 17th century, has been enlarged, notably by Williams-Ellis.
