Emergencies are not just about uniforms and flashing lights. The Emergency Planning Unit (EPU) at Warwickshire County Council works closely with local organisations and companies to provide effective planning and action in the case of an emergency.
In case of emergency always dial 999.
If there is a fire the message is:
Get out
Stay out
and call
999.
Further information can be obtained from the Warwickshire Fire Service website.
In the case of accidents:
Where it is safe, administer first aid and dial 999 if necessary. First aid can be anything from applying a bandage to performing CPR. It should not, however, replace professional medical attention.
Further information on types of first aid and how to perform them, can be obtained from the NHS Direct website.
For contact details for the EPU, The Community Risk Register and further information on such emergencies as flooding, disease, major emergencies and terrorism please visit the Warwickshire County Council website.
